I have seen it multiple times in my time in secondary school that people can be ignored. I never was as I never allowed myself to be :P but I know people who were and are still 'awkward'.

So I make my mission that whenever I stride into class, to sit with anyone who is by themselves! :iconherotimeplz: (I know who prefers to sit by themselves and who doesn't choose to).

Just take one class, you don't always have to sit with your friends, and you can explain to them if they get upset, but it can make a big difference to someone who feels excluded for someone like ya to appear and take an interest in them!

So yea, you could make a HUGE impact on someone just by simply choosing to sit with them and saying hello! It might not seem like much to you, but it could really mean the world to them. :):heart:

And the title choice cuz I felt it truly fit :)

I cannot begin to say how much this poem effected me because I know all to well the feeling of rejection and unfair judgement until one day someone actually did do this and I realised there is hope for humanity..

And it's kind of ironic because now that I've had friends I realised I actually prefer to be alone.

this is wonderful. i know the feeling of being excluded...i had my reasons for being shy back in school and it really helps if you just say 'hi'. :)

This reminds me of a kid on my bus...he was failing all his classes and looked really depressed, so I got a few friends and with a little poking he smiled for the first time i had ever seen him smile ^^

Its so sweet of you to sit with 'awkward' people, I've moved around a lot and each time I always find myself stuck in the same situation :fingerscrossed: . And the one person like you that sits down and says a simple "Hi" makes me feel less like an alien and helps make my day. =) There should be more people in the world like you!

I wish someone could sit next to me! Back in 10th grade, I had this friend, but once she got a boyfriend she stopped hanging out with me. I was left alone so I would wander the whole school during my free periods and lunch break, or just sit somewhere and take a nap. -w-

Now I'm in twelfth grade and I still don't have any friends, but I do have a boyfriend who I love very much. Unfortunately, I can only see him on Fridays and sometimes on the weekend. I try to interact and socialize with other people from my class, and some are very nice, but they all have their own group of friends. So, they just consider me as their other friend. Meh, it used to get to me before but I'm used to being alone now. Anyway, great poem. If only all teenagers (and adults!) could be like you. :)
