EDIT: It has been brought to my attention by a commenter that the 'randomly placed apostrophes' were throwing off the flow. :) So I removed em.

:iconhitlerwtfplz: THERE WILL BE NO PUNCUATION. This will be a continueing trend throughout the rest of my poetry. I've seen the light and old habits die hard.

Poem about people acting older than they are, or wanting to be older, not taking the time to enjoy themselves while they're what they are. =]

there are girls in my class who spend all breaktime and lunchtime in the toilets brushing their hair and putting on make up trying to look older....then there are girls who climb on the lucnh tables...

I'm afraid I don't agree with this poem. Having more responsibility can also mean having more personal freedom. Believe me, that's something some people really wish they had!

But I still like the poem. XD

I love your poems! They always seem to touch my heart. :)

I don't know how many times I've seen little children younger than myself dressed in clothes that make them look like little adults. It's even worse for teenagers. They not only dress stupidly, but they do stupid things as well. All to try to be more "grown up"... I don't get it... =__=

I dress comfortably so that I can enjoy my time as a kid! I see girls in my class dressed in outfits that just look painful and annoying to wear. High heeled shoes, shorts skirts, dangling jewellery... How are you supposed to play games, climb trees, and jump around in the mud on a rainy day with outfits like that?

I agree with you completely. Why some girls wear those god-awful, annoying, uncomfortable clothes puzzles me. I mean I'm a girl and right now I'm wearing an oversized T-shirt and basketball shorts. People need to stop trying to grow up so fast

Glad to know someone else agrees with me! :D You're awesome!

Sometimes I get comments like "You should dress more like this, you'd look pretty" or "You dress like a kid". It can be annoying, but most of the time I just laugh. I am a kid and just because a girl doesn't wear girly clothes doesn't mean they're not pretty. It's okay to focus on your appearance, but most of the time, girls who try WAY too hard to be pretty on the outside have an ugly personality on the inside. I think how we dress reflects on how we think of ourselves.

yeah. Honestly I wouldn't deny the worst you could say about me if it was true. because honestly i don't care what others think.

That's a great quality to have! I think more girls should be like this, not caring about what other people think. So many girls quit sports and activities just because they don't like how they look. It's ridiculous.
