Whenever I'm sad I occupy my senses separately, like so; To look at: Pictures of kittens, A good uplifting book, A hilariously funny comic, Bright/colorful art, etc. To listen to: A playlist full of Sinatra, Up-beat songs, Wind chimes, A fireplace, Birds, etc. To smell: Cinnamon and vanilla together (it is amazing and smells like cinnamon buns), Lavender, Peppermint, Flowers, etc. To taste: Hot coffee, Little snacks (like Goldfish, or crisps), Apple cider, Cupcakes, Bacon, etc. To feel: This is possibly the most open ended one. I usually snuggle up in a blanket in my room, or sit in a rocking chair on my front porch. My all time favorite feeling is hugs, so if possible, get a very understanding friend and just snuggle up and talk or watch a movie or nap or even just enjoy eachothers company and that always makes me feel better~
